Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?:
The purpose of the preliminary task was for me to gain some experience of how to use camera software and a range of editing techniques.
For the preliminary task, I recorded a rough scene in order to get used to using tripods and the camera.
From the preliminary task I learnt alot about camera angles, positioning of characters and camera angles which had a good impact on the outcome of my thriller film.
In the production of my film, the software that I used is called Final Cut Pro X and although I faced difficulty when trying to get used to using the software because of the many features that it had, the different effects such as the Blur effect, Distortion and fly in effect for the credits all contributed in making a high quality film.
I learnt how to cover up natural sounds by using a range of sound effects such as:Girl laugh 2 (free sound), splash.dwab and a breathing noise downloaded from an on line website.
Overall the preliminary task was beneficial to the production of my thriller film because i was given the chance to experiment with final Cut X pro, camera angles and sound effects.
Your analysis of question 7, demonstrates minimal understanding of how you developed from the preliminary task to your thriller. You have started to describe some of the camera shots that you have developed, but these points are too basic and need to be explored and explain in a lot more detail.
